The Syria Trust for Development participated in Damascus International Fair organized by General Establishment for International Fairs and Exhibitions from 13 to 22 of July in Damascus International Fairground. SHABAB, Massar, FIRDOS were the three divisions that represented the Syria Trust for development because the Trust tries to reach a wide spectrum of people and inform them of its development programs.
SHABAB presented the services it offers to youth in Syria, which comes in a series of programs. SHABAB during the exhibition presented the services they offer to young people who are about to enter the job market like how to write a resume, do job interviews and write a work plan. SHABAB also gave the visitors of the Fair the chance to take aptitude tests, play “game of the business world” also explaining to them how they can benefit from Business Clinic Program that SHABAB offers to young entrepreneurs.
Massar provided the opportunity for the young visitors to participate in debates and express their opinion about the important issues that are going on in today’s Syria. The visitors also participated in games and contests that concentrated on the environmental issues.
FIRDOS presented a selection of rural handicraft products that have been created by rural entrepreneurs that have benefited from FIRDOS programs and have achieved self-sufficiency in rural Syria.
The Syria Trust for Development has participated in Damascus International Fair for the past two years and has expanded its participation this year, because we belief that the Fair is important on local and regional levels and it is crucial to inform the visitors who represent the Syrian society of the trust’s development programs through these three divisions.
